Lemonade is the perfect refreshing summer drink. A simple lemonade is always a go-to for me, but I love to infuse lemonade with different flavors.
My favorite lemonade is a rose infused lemonade. It is very important to use roses that are from your garden and that have not been sprayed.
Any color rose works, and the only difference will be the color of the lemon juice at the end. Yellow, pink or red roses will result in a wonderful flavor.
It's very important to pick your roses, separate the petals and wash really well to get rid of any bugs. Next, soak the rose petals in the lemon juice for a minimum of 4 hours and up to 24 hours. The longer you soak the petals, the stronger the rose flavor.

Prep Time: 4 hours
1 cup lemon juice
Rose petals from 7 roses (red, pink, or yellow) , or 1-2 tablespoons rose water
6 cups water
1/2 cup water
1 cup sugar
Ice, for serving
1) Wash rose petals really well. In a bowl, add rose petals and lemon juice. Soak in the fridge for 4 hours, or up to 24 hours. If you don't have have rose petals, you can skip this step and use rose water.
2) In a medium pot, bring 1/2 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar to a boil and remove from heat. Let cool completely.
3) Pour lemon juice and sugar (and rose water, if you're substituting it) mixture into a large pitcher. Add the 6 cups of cold water. Stir.
4) Refrigerate and serve over ice.
