Strawberry Lemonade

Anytime there's a heat wave in California, you can find me in my kitchen making refreshing lemonades. My family loves any form of lemonade, as long as it's made with fresh ingredients. I promise that fresh ingredients make all the difference! 

The best time to make strawberry lemonade is when it's strawberry season. Here in California, we have access to strawberries year round, but the best ones are always between April and July! And if you're craving this drink any other time of year, you can definitely use frozen strawberries. Just thaw them before you blend.

Strawberry Lemonade

Servings: 8

Prep Time: 10 minutes 


Simple Syrup: 

1 cup sugar 

1 cup water 

Strawberry Mix: 

1 lb strawberries, hulled 

1 cup water 


1 cup lemon juice 

4 cups cold water 

A few sprigs of mint 

Ice, for serving 


1) To make the simple syrup, bring 1 cup of water to a boil and add the sugar. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. 

2) In a blender, combine the water and strawberries. Blend on high for 20-30 seconds. Pour into your serving pitcher. 

3) Add the simple syrup to the strawberry mixture. Stir in the lemon juice and the 4 cups of cold water. 

4) Refrigerate. When ready to serve, add a sprig of mint and pour over ice.
